Manual Browser Extension Installation

Install our browser extension available from the Chrome and Edge stores

With the Kabeen browser extension, you will be able to auto-discover applications used by your collaborators and measure their usage.

This extension is available on the following browsers:

Install the Extension

Extension deployment is done through the respective store of each browser (from within the browser).

Retrieve the Connection Code

Once the extension is added to your browser, the next step is to authenticate it using your connection code.

This is automatically generated when your Kabeen workspace is created and can be found in the Settings > Rover Management menu.

Be careful not to reset the code by mistake: Previous codes become obsolete.

Initialize the Extension

You can share this code with all collaborators so they can join the Kabeen workspace you created.

When the user clicks on the Kabeen extension (from the browser's extension menu), a configuration window appears to enter the connection code.

Configure a Team

Once connected, the extension asks each user to specify their situation:

  • The structure refers to the subsidiary or establishment where the user works.
  • The business service represents their team

Structures (subsidiaries) and business services (teams) must be previously modeled in Kabeen's Organization view.

Pre-configure the Extension without the Native Agent

In a managed environment where the Kabeen native agent is not installed, each user does not need to manually enter their connection code and organization. You can pre-configure the extension through the browser's managed storage by deploying three registry keys under an Authentication subkey:

  • ApiToken: the workspace connection code
  • StructureId: the identifier of the structure (subsidiary)
  • TeamId: the identifier of the business service (team)

The extension is then authenticated and attached to the organization automatically, without any user action. See the Deploy Browser Extension via GPO article for the registry paths and values to set.
